Russell Jackson, renowned bass player, leads our resident band for the festival. Russell Jackson Band will be. on mainstage backing festival artists, as well as hosting the Twilight Blues late night series.
Russell Jackson Band is the resident house band for Calgary Bluesfest. You'll see them nightly at the Twilight Blues Series, too. Led by blues bass titan Russell Jackson, this band tears up the stage. They'll also accompany a few artists during the festival.
Russell Jackson is one of the leading bassists in the world today. His resume is a who's who of blues greats, from Otis Clay to BB King, Silent Partners to Katie Webster ... and many, many more!
