Glenn Marais & Mojo Train perform at The Confluence as part of Calgary International Blues Festival

Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train are a four-piece blues-rock band known for explosive live performances, razor-tight arrangements, and improvisational brilliance. Every show is played with urgency and heart—like it could be the last—creating an unforgettable experience for audiences wherever the train stops.

The term MojoTrain isn’t just the band’s name; it’s their sound - a powerful, rolling blues-rock force driven by deep grooves, soaring solos, and soulful storytelling. Leading the charge is Glenn Marais on guitar, harmonica, and lead vocals, backed by the rock-solid rhythm section of Manny DeGrandis on bass and vocals, Jeff Saulnier on drums and vocals, and the dynamic textures of Jesse Karwat on keyboards and vocals.

The band is quickly gaining momentum on the Canadian and international blues scene. In 2024, Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train reached the semi-finals of the International BluesChallenge in Memphis and released their acclaimed album Red, Hot and Blue. Glenn returned as a semi-finalist again in 2025, and the band’s rising profile was further cemented with a nomination for Best Emerging Artist at the 2026 Canadian Blues Awards.

Beyond the stage, the band is deeply committed to giving back through MusicCan, a non-profit founded by Glenn Marais and Manny DeGrandis during the pandemic to provide music lessons and instruments to youth across Canada. MusicCan has donated over 100 instruments, purchased 30 djembe drums for a local school, placed more than 10 youth into lessons with brand-new guitars, and provided instruments to remote Indigenous communities. Through partnerships with The Arts Music Store (Newmarket), Yamaha Guitars, D’Addario Canada, and, most recently, national music chain Long & McQuade, MusicCan can now provide guitars and lessons from St. John’s to Victoria, bringing the organization’s dream of becoming a national charity closer to reality.

With a growing catalog of original material alongside powerful, crowd-moving covers and a new album, The Howl and Moan, slated for release in 2026, Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train continue to bring their high-energy performances to festivals and stages across the country, showing no signs of slowing down.
