Zora Young
Calgary Bluesfest (2006)

"Her rough-edged croon can raise welts or love bumps. She has the versatility to strut comfortably from back-alley funk to uptown jump sophistication."

Despite the prominent presence of celebrated blues artist Howlin' Wolf in her family tree, singer Zora Young grew up singing gospel. She later switched to R&B, evolving into a powerhouse blues vocalist with three decades of experience. Performing and recording with such legends as Junior Wells, Jimmy Dawkins, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Albert King, B.B. King, Willie Dixon, and Maurice John Vaughn among the many, Zora has toured Europe more than 30 times, as well as Asia and the Middle East.
