A familiar face on the Calgary music scene since the late 70's, Suitcase James is one of the province's busiest and most accomplished musicians.

Suitcase is currently a member of one of the city's finest rhythm sections, playing electric blues as part of Tim William's long-time backup band the Electrofire's, with whom he's recorded numerous times and toured across Canada.

He's also a founding member of the all-star roots & blues group Highwater Jug Band, with whom he's recorded and toured throughout Western Canada, including making an appearing at last summer's Calgary Bluesfest. Underscoring his amazing versatility, Suitcase performed two more festival performances in 2008, at the Front Porch Acoustic Workshop with Doc McLean, Tim Williams, Little Miss Higgins and Foy Taylor, and later on with legendary lap guitar player Sonny Rhodes.

Over the years Suitcase has performed/recorded with the Sadler-Brown Band, Alien Rebels, Back Alley John, and Big Dave McLean, to name a few.
