Steve Strongman is a blues artist with everything going for him. This 2011 Guitarist of the Year Maple Blues Award winner is an artist in his prime as well as a musician who has paid his dues. Virtuosic guitar playing, ignited by soulful vocals, burn from the stage as Steve delivers incredible performances with power and passion.

After an incredible 2011, which included touring France, Switzerland, Brazil and even the North Pole, Steve is capping off the year recording his highly anticipated acoustic CD, due for release in early 2012. This gifted performer has a way of stirring a crowd that evokes the emotion, maturity and authenticity of classic blues themes. His music speaks for truth and passion, and offers hope for the soul in the face of hard times in a way that that leaves audiences hungry for more.

Beginning his professional career at the age of 16, Steve has spent over 20 years touring Canada, Europe and, more recently, South America. Along the way he has performed with Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, Randy Bachman, Roy Clark, Otis Clay, Jeff Healey, Sonny Landreth, and British legend, Joe Cocker, to name a few. He is the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Mel Brown Blues Award, as well as the 2010 Hamilton music award winner of Blues Recording of the Year, for his second studio release, Blues in Colour.

With stylized writing, arranging and consummate musicianship, Steve has placed himself at the foreground of the blues world as one of its most exciting entertainers.
