Soul Sisters
Calgary International Blues Festival (2017)

The Soul Sisters bring together three of Canada's finest vocalists in one dynamite package. With a repertoire that meanders through Gospel, Blues, Funk, Spirituals and more, this special Sunday performance will lift you, make you smile and will kick off the final day of Bluesfest in the best possible way!

Elsie Osborne is a talented, versatile Calgary based vocalist, songwriter, vocal performance coach. A powerful and dynamic force in the studio and on stage, Elsie has performed 100's of shows and festivals across western Canada.  Elsie  has recorded and performed with Doug Riley, Hugh Frazier, Tommy Banks, Sandro Dominelli, Pete Christlieb, Andrew Glover, Jack Semple, Ms. Sheila Jordan, Jay Clayton, Mike Lent, John Taylor and Ralf Buschmeyer to name a few.

Deanna's experience as a vocalist, recording artist, vocal coach, and for this project, a background vocalist and Musical Theatre performer, lends itself perfectly to working inside a musical project with other singers. Gospel music has been a love of Deanna's since she began singing, " The opportunity to work with pro's like Sherry and Elsie has been a dream come true. The friendships that have grown out of this project is icing on this cake."

Sherry Kennedy is a Canadian singer, songwriter, recording artist, producer, vocal coach, visual artist and designer who has been entertaining audiences throughout Canada, US and Europe for most of her life. Sherry says, " I can't express fully the joy working with Deanna, Elsie and the guys has brought me." I am honoured to be part of the Calgary International Blues Festival.
