Ray Montana started playing guitar in 1962 - The sixties were rock & blues, the 70's rock, blues & jazz, the 80's country, rock, blues & jazz and the 90's and beyond werea clusterpluck of jazz, funk, country, soul, zydeco, folk, blues, rock and celtic music.

In those years, Ray shared the stages and recording studios all over the world with acts such as Crystal Plamondon, Don Johnson, Three Monkey Scratch, Waylon Jennings, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sonny Rhodes, Steve Dawson, the Maru Brothers, the Whiskey Band, Dr. Hook, Jerry Donahue, Johnny Paycheck, Jack Semple, Matt Guitar Murphy, Amos Garrett, and many others.

Ray's style is best described as a little Memphis twang mixed with soul, down-home blues, a twist of jazz and a side order of raunch.
