The Perpetrators
Calgary Bluesfest (2007)

"These guys know what I'm talking about... when we're playing, I can feel the Wolf looking down and smiling."
- Hubert Sumlin

Once a not-so-well-kept secret in their hometown of Winnipeg, where they acted as house band for visiting blues legends Hubert Sumlin, Louisiana Red, Paul "Wine" Jones and others, The Perpetrators have kicked things up a notch in the past year.

A Juno nomination and a win at the Western Canadian Music Awards were followed by a European tour. Their third CD, Tow Truck, available online and in record stores April 2007, is sure to add a whole new legion to the Perps' fan club.

"Blues for people who hate blues," they mix rock 'n' roll, punk, country and just about everything but the kitchen sink into their heady houserockin' punch. Wherever they play, the blahs are driven away. Each one is a seasoned pro on their instrument of choice but don't be surprised to see J, Ry and MAMA trading places in an onstage game of musical chairs. To quote a much used and abused cliche, The Perpetrators have to be seen to be believed.

Jason "Howik" Nowicki (guitar, vocals), Ryan "ODL" Menard (bass, vocals), Chris "MAMA" Bauer (drums, vocals)
