Lenny "Chet" Breau Jr is the son of Hall of Fame jazz genius Lenny Breau and the grandson of Country Hall of Fame Inductees Hal Lone Pine and Betty Cody.
Lenny "Chet" Breau Jr studied music since he was seven years old under his father's direction and learned a lot of unusual music techniques and the art of fingerstyle guitar. He's played in front of Chet Atkins, played with Randy Bachman and Joe Pass. Chet graduated from the Los Angeles Musicians Institute of Technology with Honors. Chet runs the Lenny Breau School of Music in Winnipeg in honor of his father. When he's not teaching he does studio works, national television and radio jazz shows and live shows.
The Lenny Chet Breau Band plays both original and cover music in a variety of genres, including Jazz , Blues , Spanish, plus features music from Chet's CD Lone Pine III , which received critical acclaim , four out of five stars from the Winnipeg Free Press and Ross Porter (After Hours Jazz Radio) noted "You're just the best!"
A great moment in Chet's life was when he was invited to accept a Juno Award on behalf of his father, who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
