Calgary Bluesfest (2006)
Singer/songwriter Darren Johnson's sound has been described as post modern roots music that seems to span decades of classics. Becoming a full-time professional musician in 2000, Calgary audiences grew fast as they discovered the young artist in blues clubs around the city. Darren's 2005 release brought him plenty of recognition, "Hear Nor There" saw him touring Europe to critical acclaim. He was recorded live on CKUA's Alberta Sessions, and enjoys extensive airplay on CKUA and CBC Radio. Greg Carroll (bass) Brother Ray Lemelin (guitar).
